Jace Cho

Director and Head of Taxation

After completing Bachelor of Business with Accounting major, Jace became a Chartered Accountant and is now a mentor to various Chartered Accountant candidates. He has completed the Master of Taxation at University of New South Wales. During his studies, he has earned a few academic accolades, including acknowledgement from Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) for excellence in Accounting Studies, and achieving top marks in Taxation and Management Accounting modules in university.

Jace was a partner in a BRW top 100 accountancy firm advising in taxation and business services areas prior in founding Verus Accountants & Advisors. He has also spent numerous years as an IT manager, providing him with huge experience and capability in working with most accountancy software such as MYOB, Xero, and Reckon.

Aside from possessing the ability to provide comprehensive taxation and business advice, he has vast experience in assisting clients to achieve their goals by ensuring business structures are suited to their particular circumstances, activities, and interests. He also appreciates the importance in ensuring the clients understand the effects of such structuring and how it would meet their goals to benefit them.

Jace provides clients with advice across a broad range of areas, including taxation, valuations of businesses and strategic planning, management accounting, mergers, sales, acquisitions and general business consulting.

Bruce Rumble

Head of Superannuation

Bruce is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years in the SMSF industry, specialising in SMSF accounting and compliance. He has a strong attention to detail and has experience with both small and and large employers.

Bruce heads up the SMSF division of Verus Accountants and will keep you updated endlessly with any significant changes in the industry.

During his non working days, you are likely to find him supporting his NRL team South’s Rabbitohs at their home games.

Alex Choong

Business Development Manager

Alex joined Verus in 2016 and is responsible for all marketing activities and digital maintenance. He is an experienced engineer in technology process development and setting up new platforms for business opportunity in manufacturing industry. Alex holds Masters in Business Administration from Northern University of Malaysia.

Practice Staff

You will also benefit from your own dedicated manager, who will be a qualified accountant, either a member of the CPA or CA ANZ. We put strong emphasis on keeping our technical knowledge up to date through professional development and regular training.

The team comprises a wide range of experienced personnel from accounting, SMSF and audit sectors (also known as ‘Practice Staff’) whom used to work with reputable organisations.
